Welcome to the homepage for the 2017 Northern Plains Winter Weather Workshop, sponsored by the Department of Atmospheric and Hydrologic Sciences (AHS) at St. Cloud State University and the St. Cloud Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.
We want this conference to be an opportunity for meteorologists, practitioners, and enthusiasts in the public-sector, private-sector, academic, broadcast, and emergency-management communities to collaborate and share research and ideas before the worst of the winter arrives. So, like last year, we welcome presentations from not just winter weather, but all sectors of non-severe-weather meteorology and emergency management.
SCSU is first and foremost a teaching university, and we exemplify our student-centered focus by giving students as many opportunities to present as possible. As such, we welcome presentations from both graduate and undergraduate students at any college or university on any weather-related topic, regardless of season, scale, or scope.
A formal call for papers has been posted here for your reference. Abstracts for presentations are due by 16 October 2017. There is no abstract submission fee.Call For Papers
